RSVP: Telling the host your coming at least three days before the event, and not being a douche and showing up unexpected, causing your stressed out host's head to explode.
So here's the dream...
I'm living in my own apartment, decorated it a country chic, tasteful style with warm colours In the city. Hosting a dinner party for 8 at 8 for sassiness. Embossed cute, elegant invitations. Stylish place settings, beautiful flower centre piece (which I made, no idea how but I have time to learn) I cook a magnificent feast of who knows what with starters like prawn cocktails and garlic bread which I made from scratch. And sharing a lovely pie dessert or cheesecake I also made from scratch. And the evening ending with someone toasting me on being a wonderful hostess. Applause, maybe an award...
But yes that's it, I dream of hosting dinner and cocktail parties in my fashionable city apartment.
But a thought occurs to me dear reader, I can do that at Uni! we have a pretty nice long dinner table at Uni and I have the kitchen there and friends who would love the chance to dress up and be fed for free. It can be a welcome back/ welcome the new housemate (the last one went to study in Poland :( ) party. Glamorous.
So just wanted to post because I know I'm not the only one who wants to be a lovely hostess whose gatherings are the talk of the town with everyone grasping for an invite. Also because if this event does go down, study schedule allowing It will be the ULTIMATE post! Recipes for starters, main, dessert, how to time manage a party, hostessing skills and fails. All to help you, aspiring chefs/hostesses/hosts rock.
Really excited now! Though it will be September time :(
